A Day to Remember: Sumo’s Simulated Clay Shoot at Warter Priory
In June, we brought together members of the Sumo dealer network and some of our valued Sumo farmers from across the UK for a fantastic day of shooting, good food and great company at the stunning Warter Priory in East Yorkshire.
For those who haven’t visited before, Warter Priory is a beautiful private estate set amongst the rolling Yorkshire countryside, with stunning views, mature woodland and beautiful open farmland. It provided the perfect backdrop for a day of simulated game shooting and an ideal setting to bring our customers and dealers together.
And we really did have a fantastic day. The weather couldn’t have been better, with beautiful sunshine and perfect conditions throughout the day. Combined with the stunning surroundings, it made for a day to remember.
The simulated clay shoot provided the perfect opportunity to step away from the usual day-to-day, spend time with our customers and dealers, and enjoy a relaxed day together.
A Great Start to the Day
The day got underway with a warm Sumo welcome, with bacon rolls, tea and coffee on hand as everyone arrived and caught up before heading out.
With plenty of experienced shooters amongst the group, there was certainly no shortage of friendly competition! After everyone had settled in, we headed out for the first two simulated drives of the day.
Four Drives Throughout the Day
The day was split into four simulated drives, with two drives in the morning before everyone stopped for a well-earned lunch.
The drives provided plenty of challenging targets, with some excellent shooting throughout the group and, of course, the occasional one that got away!
After lunch, it was back out into the beautiful Warter Priory surroundings for another two drives to round off the day.
And, of course, we couldn’t let the day pass without a little competition! With so many experienced shots amongst the group, there was plenty of friendly rivalry as guests put their skills to the test.
BBQ, Drinks & Good Company
After working up an appetite, everyone came together for a delicious BBQ lunch, with plenty of food and refreshments to keep everyone going.
For us, days like this are about more than just getting together. Our dealer network and farming customers are a huge part of the Sumo family, and events like this give us the opportunity to thank them for their continued support while building relationships away from the farm and dealer depots.
Bringing the Sumo Network Together
The Sumo dealer network stretches across the UK and beyond, alongside the many farmers who use Sumo machinery in their businesses. Having the opportunity to bring so many of these people together in one place was a real highlight of the day.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Warter Priory and helped make it such a memorable day – with fantastic shooting, friendly competition, perfect weather, stunning views, great food and even better company, we really couldn’t have asked for a better day spent with some of the people who make the Sumo network what it is.
