Industry Specialists Visit Sumo UK for Behind-the-Scenes Factory Tour
We were pleased to welcome a group of industry specialists from Frontier Agriculture, one of the UK’s leading crop production and grain marketing business to Sumo UK Ltd this week.
The group represented a broad range of expertise, including seed advisors, precision farming specialists and soil health experts, making for an insightful and engaging day of discussion.

A Full Factory Experience
The visit featured an in-depth factory tour, offering a clear insight into Sumo’s manufacturing process. From initial fabrication and precision assembly to final finishing and quality assurance, the group experienced first-hand how our machines are expertly engineered and built here in the UK.
We highlighted the strength of our build quality, the precision in every detail, and the engineering principles that form the foundation of every Sumo machine – all designed with durability, reliability and real-world field performance in mind. With the sun shining throughout the visit, it made for an even better opportunity to step outside and view some of our cultuvation and seed drilling equipment up close.
Engineering to Support Agronomy
At Sumo, our focus is not just on building cultivation machinery, but on supporting successful crop establishment and sustainable soil management.
Hosting specialists in seed, soil and precision agriculture reinforces the importance of designing machines that deliver consistent results across varying conditions, whether that’s improving soil, managing residue, or supporting regenerative farming practices.

Strengthening Industry Collaboration
Visits like this highlight the importance of collaboration across the agricultural sector. Bringing together manufacturers and agronomy specialists strengthens the connection between engineering innovation and practical crop production.
We’d like to thank the Frontier team for taking the time to visit us. It was a pleasure to showcase our processes and discuss how machinery and agronomy can continue working together to drive performance on farm.
