Sumo at Cereals 2025
Last week, Team Sumo headed to the heart of Lincolnshire for Cereals Event 2025, one of the country’s most anticipated events in the arable calendar.
With sun (mostly), a strong turnout, and a great atmosphere, it proved the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our latest machinery, catch up with customers old and new, and launch something exciting…

On Display: Strength, Versatility & Smart Cultivation
We brought a powerful cross-section of our range to the show, including:
- The Quatro — a heavy-duty, one pass cultivator built for high horsepower and full-field performance.
- The Trio with SDO Seeder — a versatile solution combining primary cultivation with accurate seed placement.
- The Direct Drill — proving ever-popular for its ability to deliver true no-till establishment with Sumo strength.
- The Subsoiler — a robust, tried-and-tested performer for deep soil restructuring and compaction relief.
- Front Weight — essential tractor accessory to improve balance and optimize implement performance

Launching Our Latest Innovation: The Close-Coupled LDS
A real highlight this year was the official launch of our brand-new Close Coupled Low Disturbance Subsoiler. Compact, agile and designed for tractors where mounted flexibility is essential, it delivers deep restructuring with minimalsurface disturbance — all in a tighter, more versatile package.
Whether working in small fields, headlands, or pairing with mounted drills, this new addition drew plenty of interest from visitors looking to maximise performance while protecting soil structure.
More Than Machinery: Real Conversations
Of course, Cereals is about more than the metal. We had countless conversations about the big issues facing British arable farming — from soil structure and input costs to the balance between efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Hearing how our customers are using Sumo kit in the real world — adapting to weather extremes, changing crop strategies, and building healthier soils — is always the best part of events like this.
What’s Next?
We’re heading straight back into the field for Groundswell 2025 next week, where we’ll be continuing the conversation around regenerative systems, soil health, and how machinery choices support wider farm goals. If you’re attending, come and see us!
And we’re excited to share that we’ve already booked our stand at next year’s Cereals 2026 — set to take place at none other than Diddly Squat Farm. We can’t wait to be part of what’s shaping up to be a truly special edition of the show.
