Sumo Returns to YAMS
We were delighted to return to the Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show (YAMS) earlier this month, a key date in the farming calendar and one we were proud to be part of once again.
Although we haven’t exhibited at YAMS for several years, the show remains an important fixture for farmers and dealers across the region. As a Yorkshire-based manufacturer, it felt right to be back, reconnecting with the local industry and reaffirming our commitment to supporting British agriculture.
Back at the Heart of the Local Farming Community
Managing Director Steve Ridley commented:
“It’s fantastic to be back. Returning to our local show made real sense to us. It gives us an opportunity to support our local dealers, Ripon Farm Services, as well as our local farmers and YAMS puts us right at the heart of that.”

Showcasing the New T-Press
It was also a great opportunity to showcase the newest addition to our cultivation range, the T-Press.
Designed to deliver effective consolidation, improve soil structure and reliable performance in challenging conditions, the T-Press has been developed in response to direct farmer feedback. Showcasing it at YAMS allowed visitors to see the machine up close, speak to the team about its design features, and understand how it fits within modern cultivation systems.
“It’s really valuable for us to speak to customers and get feedback as we progress forward with new products such as the T-press,” Steve added.
The conversations we had around the T-Press reinforced the importance of practical, well-built machinery that delivers consistent results in the field.
Focused on Long-Term Value
Despite the wider challenges facing the agricultural sector, the mood at YAMS was notably positive. Farmers remain forward-thinking and focused on making considered investments that deliver lasting value.
At Sumo, that aligns closely with our own philosophy – designing and manufacturing robust, reliable machinery built to improve soil health, maximise efficiency, and support sustainable farming practices for the long term.

Thank You for Visiting
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit the Sumo stand and speak with the team. After several years away from YAMS, it was great to be back and part of such an important event in the farming calendar.
If you would like more information about the Sumo range, including the new T-Press, please contact your local Sumo dealer or get in touch with our team directly.
